I know Butch personally, and he has a very good reputation. He has had some personal problems which led to trouble with shipping parts.

He has stated that he's refunding everyone waiting on something, but that his paypal account was still processing the refunds.

I wouldn't worry about it.

unfortunately you have to be real patient with butch. he has always got me my stuff, but he can be bad about returning calls and emails and shipping his stuff takes longer than it should.

he wont leave you hanging and i have always been happy with whatever i bought from him, but dont be in a hurry.

You shouldn't worry, Butch is a great guy. He would give the shirt of his back or the parts of his ski to keep yours running. I know this from personal experience. He will make it right...

Bogus....good guy or not if someone pays (personal problems and all) you owe it to the person to communicate, send or refund as soon as possible.

I get tired of hearing things like, "He is on vacation", "He is having personal problems", "Paypal is processing the refunds", "The check is in the mail". It's all bogus....if people have the time to advertise and take money there are no excuses (other than being sick and in the hospital and can't function) that are valid.

Thanks for that input.Everyone said not to worry but after sending pm's and making phone calls still no word from him.I buy alot of stuff off other forums and have never seen people let this go on.3 months and still no word, while this guy is still selling things here.It seems like these people need to put themselves in my shoes and lets see how long they wait.Obviously i'm not in his circle of friends but i have sent him money none the less and should be taken care of.Anyone care to ask this guy to make my situation good.Only want a refund at this time as i have already purchased what i needed. Thanks to anyone willing to help.

i think you are misunderstanding what i'm saying. im not saying it is ok to make people wait like this and that he should just let butch take his time getting stuff to him. i was just saying based on my experience with him, he is slow but he's never let me hanging. and that i dont think it's his intention to rip anyone off.

i was frustrated as hell trying to pin him down on what was happening with my purchase, but it did finally get resolved. will i ever buy from him again? probably not, just based on the possible hassles.

hope it works out for you.

A friend of mine bought a part off this joker a few weeks ago...he has sent numerous emails (with no response) and has verified that he has logged on this board during that time (so you know he has seen this). No excuses...the guy sucks.

He is one of those guys that might give you the shirt off his back if he has money in his pocket...but he will slice your throat if he doesn't...I know the type.

I have been burned by Butch this past summer as well, I bought a carb off him in June and i still have not seen it, or a refund. I have tried emailing him and sending him PM's but still no answer, does anyone know how i can get my money back? It a horrible to have to wait so long and not get a response, after having such a bad experience i am going to be very hesitant in buying off this forum again.

I've bought parts from Butch before with no problems, but this time, I waited over 6 months for the parts and they ended up back with him. I got some of my money back, but it has been several more months, and I'm still waiting. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, but how long do you wait before you speak up??

Bummer to read this. I haven't talked to Butch for a few months, but he has helped me more than once in my first season with the SJ.
I hope he can get whatever is going on resolved, and that he will take care of any who have been left holding the bag. It must be something out of his control, from my experience with him I just don't believe he would intentionally rip anyone off. He had a couple of chances to sell me a bill of goods if he wanted to. Instead I got good advice and some free spare parts.

We are Butch's friends. He is having a hard time now. On his behalf, we collectively apologize for him and hope you understand his terrible situation. I am sure he will make every attempt to make right his issues with his fellow forum members.

I understand your feelings as he is simply a stranger to you but in this very small forum of people who ride a very small percentage of the PWC out on the water, he is very well liked for a number of reasons. I find no fault with your input in this matter and please know that we all want everyone to be attended to beit parts sent or simply refunded.

Patience is a lot to ask for when it comes to your money but Butch is in a spot that no one wants to be in.

Since you know him much better than I do, can you tell me how long Butch is going to be MIA? I keep thinking "another week". If I knew it was going to be next summer at least I can lower my expectations. thanks
