S. O'neal Road goes straight to the beach.

here's the general housing information thread (http://www.x-h2o.com/showthread.php?t=12053). I suggest you call Swede's Real Estate and see what they have.

Moondance, Wavegoddes and QuickMick are staying with me. Mom might be here with here friend too - so I'd consider my house full.

I'll see about getting some spots in the neighbor's house as well. The owner's sister may be staying there - but she likes to party with us (and ride a blaster) - so I think she'd be OK with a couple people staying with her.

First off, i would like to say "WOW" I didnt realize Texas has such a large ski crowd!!!

My name is well "steve0we" and I live in San Antonio. Husband / father and kid till I die! I just put money down on my first ski today, and am counting the days until it finally arrives. I am an avid waterman, surfing, kayaking, wind surfing, etc. I decided to get into the jetski thing because its just to hot to ride my dirtbike in the summer, and I enjoy the water so much.

I would like to stop by while you guys are at the beach to check out different ski setups, and get some of the dumb questions out of the way. I have a race in Dallas Saturday, but for the right motivation might park the racecar for the day and sneak off to the beach.

Is anyone else from San Antonio going?
Would you guys mind a tag along?
Did I mention I run a graphics shop and can print full color?
Did I mention that I also have a full fabrication shop and do everything from welding, CNC machining, and extensive fiberglass work???

Glad to see that the rest of the state is motivated by more than tortillas (San Antonio is the 3rd fattest city in the country)

Thanks for the time,
Steve0we and Family

Welcome again. Come on down. I'd bet that a few people might even let you try out their skis, bring your gear. Usually we have a grill out or just do sandwiches for lunch, so bring something to eat. Bring a chair or use one of ours. We usually have shade canopies out, too. If you get even close to us, you can't possibly miss us - the huge collection of Easy-ups and standups with a few sitdowns. Oh, and quite a few toyhaulers, motorhomes, trailers, etc.

Warning, there are sometimes jellyfish, you should think about bringing long sleeve shirt and long pants. Most people use either a rash guard or an MX shirt with pants or a full length wetsuit with sleeves. You never know for sure how many there will be, sometimes you need the shirt/pants, sometimes not. And don't forget your favorite sunscreen.

See you there,
Sharon

So is everyone camping on the beach? I always leave my wife a daughter home for the first trip. I dont mind tent camping if needed. Second trip when I have my ski, and I feel like pulling our trailer, they will tag along for sure.
Can we have fires on the beach? If so, when we go to the desert, alot of times we have put a couple of VW heads in the fire, they light the place up enough to ride for about an hour. the old ones are magnesium, and put out a huge amount of light.

I sent a PM to Tursiops93 to see what his plans are. I look forward to meeting everyone and look forward to the BBQ.

Odd Duck
09-20-2007, 10:03 AM
Toy hauler parked on the beach for us, some will be tent camping. We sometimes get enough wind that the tent is not a restful sleep. The upper part of the beach is usually firm enough to park on with no problems. Yes, to fires on the beach, bring firewood. I'm not so sure about the magnesium, maybe Penguin can chime in and give us an opinion on whether this might attract a little too much attention.

What do you think, Shawn?

If you have a pit bike bring it
Dont listen to these people they just want you to come to carry gas cans and wash skis.

the first ride I went to I had to carry every-ones gas and wash all the skis before they let me ski.

All the Texas crew are misfits with a bad attitudes

The food always sux

They make you Jump fire on your pit bike

eat gummy worms

If your ski breaks everyone points and laughs at you

I could go on forever

See all you loosers in a week

On Mark's ski. He broke one hull extension and used the sawzall to "even things up" and cut the other one off. There's a pic, somewhere in the CB pics threads. I can't right off remember if it was March or May.

Mick would get stuck on the board and be to the rig before we said Boo! Looks I'm for sure going to be there. "IF" things get too crazy, I'll figure it out from there. Just need to refrain from catching Moonie's worms. Or Penguin's shots.

If I can whore a ride on a standup this time that would cool. Doubt I'll stay up long but I was getting good on Skinny's at the campout. If Big A doesn't make it, I'll have the only tow rig it sounds like. And what will we do with out his Q.

I would try to do mine this weekend, but my reamining parts STILL haven't arrived from factory pipe. When I called earlier in the week to check status, they said I should see them Friday or Monday. Hmmm, I bet I don't see them until Monday.

I recieved a call from a company that I work with out of California friday about 10am, they asked if I would mind driving to Fort Stockton to do a service call at a Sonic Drive-in. But the catch was that it had to be done Friday. I told them that it was a 5 hour drive each way, they said they would pay $120.00 an hour drive time plus the service time and hotel....

THATS OH $1600.00 BUCKS TOTAL

Well, Its Saturday night, I just got back......:Banane09:

Did I mention that Kermit texas (60 miles from Ft. Stockton) has fantastic sand dunes, and that my dirtbike fits in the back of my truck?????

It took me 30 minutes to do the service call, I road all day out in the dunes, and still made it home by 8PM..... LIFE IS SO GOOD SOMETIMES!

I think I need to see if they need any service work done in Houston next week....:smokin:
