Prayers needed. . .

My wife got a phone call from our doctor and we found out that our baby is just barely in the high risk category for Spina Bifida (http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/spina_bifida/spina_bifida.htm). We are scheduled for a 3D ultra sound up in Spokane on Tuesday September fourth so we should know a lot more then. We may also be forced to find out the sex of the baby as well.

There is a good chance that there is nothing wrong but some extra prayer never hurt.

My wife and I went threw something similar with the birth of our second daughter before her birth in January. Its a stressful situation but hang in there. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

The day after our baby was born, we were told she failed her hearing test. A second test the next day showed that her hearing was probably a little too good.

I think sometimes they make it sound a little worse than it is so that there's a better chance the next news will be better.

We'll be praying for you.

hope all goes well. most of the test scared the crapp out of us too. like the one for downs syndrome that almost always says they are positive for it, then they tell you the test is nearly worthless, and in the end it turns out fine. hope this is the same bs and you have a healthy baby!

Well Matt is partially correct the baby is healthy, we do have to go back in 6-7 weeks for another specialized ultrasound however we are expecting a boy not a girl. I was playing a joke on Char_E and playing into her assumptions.

Baby Kurt was born today.

He is not responding (as if he's asleep and won't wake up) and his heartbeat & breathing had to be regulated.
There is fluid somewhere in his head.
He was supposed to be medivac'd to a big hospital , but due to bad weather this was changed to Ambulance.

Please pray for Jeremy, Kara, and their baby Kurt. This is driving me to tears.

I'm headed to Spokane to Sacred Heart. Things don't look good. Before I left our doctor told Kara and I that there is a very good chance that the baby would not make it.

Curt (baby) didn't make it. I received a call about 0630 from Matt and he was with Jeremy and Kara.

Curt was born last night at 7:26 pm.
This morning, he passed away peacefully in his mommy's arms, with his Daddy by her side.




Our pastor and me were there, too, as well as some nurses.
