that is with a discount, but we are talking to someone else too that should be cheaper. It won't be oceanfront though. Unfortunately, that weekend is considered "fringe weekend" & prices drop considerably the next week. We just learned about that fact this week, but it is what is. The other "thing" is, that particular weekend is usually our last weekend that we can ride without wetsuits and be confortable.

You guys have anything planned for Friday during the day? Or is the beach off limits to riding until Sat? Just wondering if I should come down Thursday after work and book hotel for 3 days.

we're meeting with several departments from the city tomorrow morning. Capehenery & I will try to get an answer for you. You're not the first one to ask & I hope we can ride some Friday & Monday!

our permit that allows us to ride the break is only for the 6th & 7th. For the 5th & 8th, we have to abide by the summer rules. Although the police seem to be more relaxed after labor day, we are not allowed to ride within 100 yards of shore. This is in effect from May 1st-Oct. 15th each year. Our permit sets up a ride area that is exempt from this during WaveDaze.

Basically, ride at your own risk. I definitely would NOT ride north of Rudee Inlet at the Oceanfront where WaveDaze will be. This area is much more heavily policed than other areas. If you want to come early or stay late, pm me & I can fill you on when & where to ride.:veryhappy:

Whatever you do, DO NOT try to stay at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort on VA Beach. What a freaking nightmare. Overbooking is thier standard policy. They suck. :spank:

Thanks BS, this answered my question. Seems to make more sense to stay Sunday night instead, so I can ride all day sunday and not worrying about leaving till Monday.
