For all you pictophiles out there... I've been keeping this build going over on the wavejunkies site but I'm kind of at a stopping point now while I wait on parts so I figured I'd show it off to a new group...

You might think I'm crazy for doing all this after forking out the dough on a new 05 but I really didn't know what I was getting into at the time. I had owned a 95sxi in the past but it rarely ran right and I had no clue how to fix it so.... (coming clean here...) I owned an 04 3d last season until I got "smart" and finally saved up enough for an sxr this past Sept (Sxr's go faster and are easier to ride than an sj and therefore easier to submarine, right?). Then I met Paul, then I met the wavejunkies, then I met yall. The sxr went up for sale immediately and I put the proceeds towards a new superjet (yes new, a guy needs a warranty when his idea of a toolbox in a $15 socket wrench set).

So in less than a year, I'm finally on track and here's the build

Mods go a little something like this: XMW pole -2" w/shortened plate etc, WCF hood, Blowsion kickers (got these early in the game - didn't know others existed), factory mod pipe, 13/15 cb 3mm solas, wetwolf cone, worx scoop grate, Magoo port/polish, Magoo flywheel lightening, MSD enhancer, and a few odds and ends.

I didn't really expect to get the full Magoo treatment this early in the game but I was down for paint anyways - had to paint the wcf hood so why not the whole shabang? :sneaky: And from what I hear, the surf around here pretty much blows in the Summer so I'm hoping the added power will help make the most of what little we do get.

Reinforcement goes something like this:

2 layers 17oz 45^ biax + 1 layer mat throughout engine compartment
2" cloth tape beneath rails (and around second stock hood but even that did not last)
17oz 45^ biax under nose and transom lips
3 layers biax under pole mount
1 layer biax in tray, folded up sides 1"
1 super beefy Watercraft Factory hood
1 super beefy xmw pole

Hull weighs in @ about 125lbs. :indifferent:

Random pics -
http://www.wavejunkies.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10040/normal_Superjet%20Build%202006%20turf%20002.jpg this one shows the contact cement where I first layed the bottom sheet of turf. That's 8mm padding in the feet area and 25mm throughout.

wf, you puttin in a good word for me? :sneaky: Haha, I've thought about calling a couple places for ideas on something small. But I'm perfectly happy keeping a clean slate if the price isn't right. Leaves more room if anyone wants to "influence" me into some of their own accents :sly:

Thanks for the compliments. The downtime has been rough but the learning has been a blast... Hopefully more to come soon!

I just got my parts in but I'm not sure where to start tuning the carb mixture screws. Paul's on the road to Lanier so anyone got tips? Dual 38's, Magoo port/polish, b-pipe, 75 lows, 137.5 high, stock spring (I assume stock spring because he didn't include a new one...).
