I just admin for Riot and here. I quit pwctoday back before our 3rd baby was born in September. Admin at Riot just means keeping the phpbb up to date and doing backups, so that's nothing.

It was cold Saturday w/ 30mph winds, but not really that flat.

Huge thanks to all the sponsors, donations, riders who came from far & wide, and the people that pulled together to make it all happen. :D Was a great time!

I did not see the total amount on that Jr. Lifeguard's donation check. How much was it? I hope this becomes an annual event.

All in all, the Daytona Freeride was a blast. Can't wait for the next one.

Hi all - I'm typing really slowly with my wrist in a brace after Daytona: damn that flat landing.... It could be worse: I could be Stoyer :-(

Awesome site, awesome ride - the sport just changed forever, and I'm glad to be part of it.

sprained ankle i think.....poor guy drove all nite to get there sat morning,paid for his beach pass then got hurt after only riding about 5-10 min riding:(


he was wearing his helmet though,local law enforcment made sure of it;)

Actually, as he put it, he landed flat & he felt his ankle explode. He & the beach patrol were pretty sure he had broken it. There were some parts poking out that shouldn't have been there!

No, the ankle's cool. It is where the toes attach to the foot. He landed flat, but his foot came out of the foothold. He came down with his foot on the back of the tray, so it basically bent his in half.

Pete hit bottom and messed the front of his squarenose up: we had a fun time trying to figure out how to attach a tow rope to get him back to the beach!

My wrist is much better today thanks - but I didn't get to ride yesterday. I thought I would be able to take a few pain killers and go for it, but when I couldn't even squeeze the toothepaste tube in the morning I figured I had no business out there in the surf! Had a great time watching everyone else though (and basking in the sun - felt great after Saturday! Brrrrr.....)

The foot is getting better, just limping around and going crazy caus I cant get down to the basement to work on shizit. Prolly go down there anyway and tinker on something on the rest of my day off.

I had a great time even with the injury, helped a few people work on their boats on Saturday and got to see the Hydrospace turbo standup on Sunday morn. Props to Slut, Pete, & Paul from Magoos for making it all happen and keeping the boats running.
