Cantamar.. Mexico... just a few pictures from about a 40' bluff to see over the waves.. 4-6' (way over head)

My best count of peple was.. 24 trucks/campers/toy haulers of jet skis..

Tom (tomski), Taylor (taylor curtis), Riff (mod killer), Brandon, Andrew (wydopen) and a whole bunch more were just ripin,tarin,smashin and wave that moved.. It was a great weekend !

mo !! mo mo ! Friday/Saturday were about 2-3' glassy in the mornings with marine layer burning off about 10/11am.. 5-10mph onshore winds from 11am-2pm then it would glass off again.. Sunday was 4-6' and glassy/sunny all day !!

Friday and Saturday were anything but consistent.

Unfortunately, too much sun, too much beer, and sick dog had Ross and I headed home Saturday afternoon. Wish we had stayed.

I have a pretty decent batch of pictures, but will have to post them a little bit later.

Looks like it was fun. Surf was pretty big out here on saturday... friday afternoon was kinda fun also... little bit of a wind swell coming in made if fun for some re-entry attempts. Afternoon's here were beautiful, no wind and sunny, kinda rare for the ventura/SB area, its usually blown all out in the afternoon.

Brett and Stan came down of Saturday, and we rode with Carl from Cold Fusion. I think I got bail of the day. I came down from being inverted pretty high up, right on my head... gave me a pretty good headache that didn't let up the whole day.

yup... it was horribly small.... thigh high on set waves, but glassy as hell...

mexico looks like fun but the waves in ventura were AWESOME! big and consistent. were definetly hitting that spot again. i would have loved to go to mex, but ventura got me stoked as hell as well.

nikad, I meant next time! I wish I could have made that one- still trying to get a worthy boat going, and have a damn splinter in the joint of my finger thats kept me from riding for few weeks.

wydopen, I'm going to make an effort to get down there- can't wait. Just a few more items to do on the boat, and one other minor issue: I can't ride worth a s**t, yet! Haven't had a SJ since '96, I thought I would get back on and start ripping, but that wasn't the case.:icon16:

guys check out the height on taylors reentries, the best in the buisness...the surf looks good in the pics but it was really sloppy and challenging out there...

it was..that afternoon it got really good though...i got it to myself and it was super glassy and hollow...no one to take pics then though..i think that afternoon was the best ive ever rode..:439:..i get pumped when its glassy

glassy waves = sore body's

I wear myself out on glass too... It's so easy to do what you want and every wave looks good.... I get so amped when I'm driving to the beach, I'll start getting so anxious..
