I want to get some discussion going because it's obvious from the Define Freeride (http://www.x-h2o.com/showthread.php?t=1749) thread that there are huge variances in what freeride means and the majority of suggestions relate to freeride.

I didn't think this site was ultimatly going to be dedicated to freeriding. If that is the case then I'd drop the whole "revolution" theme as well as "standup" and "freeride".

I just went throught the list and took out any freeride, freestyle, basicly anything that singles a group out. I think the majority agree freeride = surf. This site is open to more than just freeriders.

These are not nominations yet, these are the suggestions and we're paring it down a little plus I wanted to see what everyone thought about having freeride in it.

If 'freeride' is just surf... then I don't think it should be the slogan.. Only about 8% of us live by real surf.

I think that the people that make up this site, how they ride and what the site is all about are the definition of "Freeride". There are great riders that ride all different skis, in different conditions and do different tricks.

So what if the slogan was:

X-H2O

the votes are in on freeride, its surf only. I like Stand Up, Stand Together i guess but I think the goal is to make this not just stand ups? I vote we just face the fact that this site is full of the stand up and sport crowd. it will probably stay that way too. we might as well just face it now.
