You need to contact the seller and open a dispute case when that happens.

If Paypal can pull the funds from the seller they will give it back to you.
If Paypal cannot recover the money from the scammer, they will not give you any money.

I didn't say that Turbo was ripping off Blowsion(although the case could be made). I said it was ironic that he's complaining about being ripped on a part that was ripped off from another person. Kind of like calling the cops because your crack dealer sold you baking powder instead of real crack. Just because you believe something is too expensive doesn't mean you have the right to copy someone else's work. If you can make them yourself have the decency to at least make some changes in the product so it isn't a direct ripoff.

Hope you get your money back man, but from what I've seen, the cheap copy composite parts on Ebay are substandard cheap garbage.

If Paypal can pull the funds from the seller they will give it back to you.
If Paypal cannot recover the money from the scammer, they will not give you any money.
What kind of BS guarantee is that? So much for Paypal offering buyer protection.

I'm going through the same thing with him right now on a set of handhold buckets. I wasn't going to support him but Blowsion was out of stock and I needed them ASAP. I ended up laying up a set myself anyway since he never shipped.
I haven't seen any money yet, maybe soon? If not Mastercard will reimburse.

How did he rip off Blowsion ?
Mark44
Just as an FYI . . . .
According to their literature, Blowsion hold US Patent # 60/509.114 on Tubbie Sponsons
Kinda indicates a "rip off" on some level . . . . IMO

I'm not sure here but is he actually selling knock-offs or is he "reselling" Blowsion products?
His prices are way too cheap to be real products so I think he bought some legit products, made molds and then sold off the originals. He then presold knock-offs that he was never able to produce or deliver, sound about right?

I don't recall who I bought them from - but the "tubbies" I bought even have Blowsion's name molded into them.
I think his name was Dave and he was from Michigan.
They were advertised as Bloswion Tubbies when I bought them. Only after I got them I found out they are fakes.

After 34 days he even told me that he was "considering stopping selling on ebay, is just too hard. I send small parcel air, no tracking is not my fault problem with shipping."
Not his fault? I paid $30 shipping and handling for Expresspost Delivery which is 3-5 business days with tracking. Oh right! You would have to actually ship them first to get a tracking number.
What a P.O.S. It felt wrong ordering from him even but when Blowsion was out of stock I didn't see many other options.

Dont think they actually hold a patent, it was listed as Patent Pending... But, WCF, MacRacing, TBM are all making and marketing openly front sponsons that are of similar design...........
regardless, this guy seams to be ripping people off.........

What does that really mean? (patent pending) is it or isn't it patended?
Is there a difference between all of those front sponsons and are they all copying each other!:banghead:

patents take several months to draw up after being applied for. so patent pending means that a patent is being drafted.
Big Kahuna
06-17-2007, 12:34 AM
During the Patent Pending process, a patent cannot be applied for if the product is the same design, kind of like protection..... if for one reason or another the product does not get patented then it is fair game for the competition.

Good find. He was even posting his own ebay sales and posing as a potential buyer to drum up business.
I love the part where people were bashing the sales prices and shipping costs right back at him.
I still haven't got my money back yet. How long does Paypal wait before making a decision or do they need to recover monies from him for me to get mine?

Absolutely, and I did. I just want to wait for Paypal to come to a resolution before I go through Mastercard.
I really wanted to get the guy off ebay more than anything.
