The Pismo party trip is usually in Sept. Joe (Siki) was talking about dates the other night. I'm sure he'll post up when that date is finalized. I have also heard of the anual Mex Rager moving to Pismo this year. That would be the week following wold finals. However, I dunno it that was just a rumor.

well if there is a pismo party in sept. why not keep the after W/F oct. ride in mexico ?? I vote for mexico if there is going to be a pismo party in sept..

pancake.. what are the dates for Oceanside ? might as well not conflict with it huh

The Rager is being replaced by the IFWA event In O-side on the week following the WFs.
It makes sense for the european riders that are already here for finals.
(thats if they happen and where)to travel then to the Competition which will help to boost rider #s and increase the level of competition.

Well actually its not being replaces as much as Displaced by the oside event.
Timing wise.
There is talk that the Rager Gathering will move to or join the now annual Pismo ride.
The history in mexico is long and the trip has deep memories but it just might be over
There is of course plenty of unorganised rides that happen there still and will continue
maybe some of you not going to oside will Make the pilgrimage and hold up the tradition.

That pretty much BITES in my opinion...
OCT. 1 - 2 is what IFWA have on thier site for O-side. http://www.jetskinews.com/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1916

Has the IJSBA came up with a date yet for the W/F ?? (I couldnt find it) To be honest they should have it before school starts up if they were worried about money. sheeesh..

If the O-Side thingy is on the 1st-2nd of oct. we can still have the Mex-Rager the week after that and still be earler than last year !! I dont think there will be turn out near as big as before becouse people cant be away for 3 weeks to make it, some were there because of watching/racing the W/F then just hanging out till the next weekend, huh.

Who's in for trying to make the Mex-Rager hang in there ??
Or should we just give in and follow the crowd...

I have only been to 1 Mex-Rager but was really looking forward to it this year.. Butch

the IFWA date at Oside is tentative pending permitting and dates of the Finals I think.
Its the idea that some riders will not be willing to surf ride before the finals due to possible injury and or ski damage.
that puts it After the WFs..at least thats the word

with this sport you never know about these things lately.
Everyone is in Portugal this weekend For the IFWA opener so You may not beable to get Clairification From them until later this week.

I've never been to the Pac coast with skis before. I know the uniqueness of Mexico may have worn off on most of the previous Mex-Rager participants, but it sounds more interesting to me than CA. I'm down for a west coast road trip this fall. If it winds up being CA, I'm okay with that too.

Would the rest of the freeride tour participants be interested in a stop in Mexico? I know the O'side crew would love to put together a stop for the freeride tour, but it can't be O'side, or anywhere else in San Diego county for that matter. There just isn't a way to legally get away with it. But Mexico could work. It doesn't have to be the "mex rager" to be a good time in mex.

"There just isn't a way to legally get away with it. "
What are you talking about?

The City Of Oceanside has been very helpful to our sport by allowing PWC events to be held there for many years now.
IFWA REquires a Stop in the USA.....its not out of the question to add other country venues but Mexico will Not replace California for the fall tour stop.

I'm sorry, I was too vague. I didn't mean the IFWA freeride tour. I meant the "2006 X-Freeride Tour". A freeride get together like Daytona.

i was thinking that if the ifwa can get permission to ride oceanside then maybe we can organize a oside crew invatational. i'm sure the permits cost money but if we can get enough sponsors, donations, it could be possible. i'm willing to ask...if enough are interested.--we could just make it into a freeride for breast cancer or backflips for money... raise a couple g's for a good cause and the city would look like jerks if they said no.

It isn't set in stone yet that the IFWA event will be held in O-side. They do want to have it the week after finals, that is good I would love to see if a HS could handle the surf. I will be in Spain next week for the Spain IFWA event, hopefully Carolanne will be there and I can get some more info.

Well, isn't this interesting! Hope the mex-rager doesn't go away . . . it is one of the best times I have every year!

I did however go one year the week before when no-one was there but myself, mossman, and superramjet. We ran into a couple of guys there that I didn't know and haven't heard from since. It was a riot in mexico and we raged nevertheless. We went to Papas and Beer and I've still got pictures of some chick who wanted to take off her clothes and take pictures with me on the bar. Anyway, Mexico rules!!! And jetskiing is my favorite thing to do. So riding in Mexico always apeals greatly to me.
