All this race talk and track talk finally pushed me over the edge... I went and rode one of them thar moter-cicle traks today.

I was ready for major wreckage, and a couple dirt sandwiches, but t was actually a lot more fun than I thought.

The track had a few semi-large table tops, tons of doubles, a a back section with a couple easy step-ups. Of course man-eating ruts, and TONS of corners. My background is a trail rider, and I'll be the first to admit I suck.

So I wasn't really looking forward to my first ambulance ride from teh race track.

Well, it wasn't bad, not bad at all. I didn't air it out too big, and just rolled the doubles, but I felt pretty comfortable on the track. comfortable enough to go back one of these weekends.

The wind was HOWLING through the track, and it was causing me to land 10 feet off my jump on the larger table top.

I'll no longer trash talk you track riders anymore, I'm whipped!

Thanks Edwin! I'll be riding tracks as much as I do trail.

Wrecking on the track is WAY better than wrecking on the trail!

Hit a tree at 40MPH out in the middle of nowhere, or wreck on the ground in a controlled environment with paramedics and a helicopter 100yds away.... tough choice!

the trails ive ridden... if you wreck hard, youre screwed!!

my friend hit a tree in 5th grade on a rm 125 .he raced his whole life and was at a track that was in the woods.hit a tree head on had open heart surgery, and died 4 times during surgery .made it back to school in 6 th grade. had a motorcycle again in 7th grade .ran in to him a few months ago sold the dirt bike and bought a gsxr 750.
