I don't think I have time to send these somewhere so I will be doing it myself.

Any insight would be appreciated.

There is a very tiny leak letting fuel get into my flywheel area.

Should I:

a..)Grind out all the old and then JB Weld or Devcon alumaweld (if I can find it)?

b..)try to patch it just good enough to get me thru the season by adding more epoxy to the areas where the epoxy has started to deteriorate? SEE ARROWS

c..)ride it as is?

Will a torch melt old epoxy out?

I don't know, but if it does it'll probaby affect the temper of the cases (not good for strength). Try chipping it out.

And FIX IT RIGHT the first time

I agree with Mile9...
Fix it right with Devcon.

A little hassle now could save you a HUGE headache (at a freeride event) in the future.

How do you fix it? Just grind out the old goop and put new in??? :cool2:

Try getting the old stuff out - a dremel would be my choice.

At 250 degrees F. Epoxy begins to soften. You can heat and scrape away most of the thick stuff and sand/bead blast away the remaining residue. The blasted surface will allow better adhesion for the new material. Try not to let it get too
hot.
