I think the surf needs to determine the date. Everyone just needs to be prepared to hit the road with a couple days notice.
Let me know if some of you need a place to stay. I have all the essentials. Alcohol, loud music, and a wife with hot friends.

Just what I need MORE alcohol (not) and hot friends. I don't think that would go down well with wifey but I'm sure if the timing is right and lilOyster doesn't miss school ( last class 7.30 Thursday Night) he would be down with that.:cheer:

I will be in Florida during that time but I won't have my ski. Unless Spirit Air will consider my sj a carry on. I would be happy to come down and meet everyone, take pics and enjoy some parties.

Just as long as it isn't windy. F'ing beach patrol shuts it down if there's a small craft advisory. The surf Sunday didn't look much, if any, bigger than it was for the Daytona ride yet they shut it down. It was a North wind less than what it was for that Saturday. WTF?

Same crap happened to me. The tower guard didn't tell me till after I had my ski in the water. This weekend it moves to Ormond. They are much cooler there. The lifeguard even said that to me when I was challenging the small craft advisory. Also, April 10th the zone in Smyrna is closest to the inlet for a few weeks. The breaks there are much better IMO (Also it's my home town).

i know hwo that goes. i'm a chocolate fiend too.. and i got the 190lbs to prove it ... at least im down to 190, i was pushing 200 a few months ago and it was killing me.. the mx is really great for the cardio aspects .. ive started working out again every day recently.. what a difference that makes.. i feel great all the time now.. i'm running a 5k in 2 weeks.. lovin it.
stricky's lost about 35lbs since his surgery. that mick is looking slim.
I just started doing Pilates to stretch the back and work the abs too... got to start slow... after 4 days of stretching and relaxation, my back is feeling tons better.... the Pilates last night really felt good on the back:hail: :hail: :hail:

when i hurt my shoulder a few months back, at first i was just letting it heal on its own, i would move it as little as possible. as time went by, i just didnt feel like it was healing on its own as fast as i would like. so, i started lifting weights again, very light at first, but point being, i started pushing it instead of waiting for it. i could feel a very noticeable difference too about just a week later. now it's back to 100%
i'm a big believer in in-home physical therapy... you should see stricky's chair they sent him at home to work out his shoulder.. it looks like a midevil (sp?) torture device.. ouch..
ha ha... I'm w/ ya on not waiting to start rehabing... all the rescorces I have looked up about back injuries warn you about atrophy from not using them... my back doesn't get a good workout during the week..(really none) now that I have not been jogging everyday and sit at a desk all day... I am going to need to be more active stretching and keeping my back fit... I also need to remember to keep good posture... I'm so bad about that... The things I have read always say to try to keep your range of motion and work the muscles even if they hurt...
Never too early to start rehabing after an injury, unless the doc specificly tells you to not exersise for a period

the staff at the makai might be reluctant to let a bunch of jetskiers stay there again since some people thought it would be cool to do stupid shyt like trashing rooms, putting azhiaziam stickers everywhere, riding minis around through the corridors as well as other completely immature crap.
i guess that pretending youre an irresponsible rock star is good for the sport
 I must have missed most of that, Charlie.
I was at the sports bar with a few good friends...:cool2:
I recall seeing a picture of Evan and his mini, but I doubt he'll make it this year. :sneaky:
And I thought the stickers were plastering the local "Outback." :dunno:
I seriously doubt our group trashed it anymore than the Spring Breakers of years gone by...
All BS aside, the Daytona Freeride rocked, IMHO, and the fact that the Junior Lifeguards received a contribution from our group proved to me that what we did was "good for the sport."

nick, will it be just a straight up freeride or were you also thinking of doing any thing like sickest trick competition or anything like that ?
just curious..
The is a FREERIDE!!!!!!:Banane01:
This is about being free, free to come, free to express yourself however you want on a ski. No rules, no regulations, except for what state law and volusia county beach services put forth. We want to bring out the best in our sport by not limiting people to riding at certian times and so on... If you get up at 8am and are in the water by 9am, you can ride till 5pm w/o stopping and no one will say anything to you... This is a NON-EVENT and everyone will be responsible for themselves, just like any other freeride... If something does happen, it's YOUR responsibility 100%.
