I ride on Cayuga, Skaneateles and Otisco lakes a lot, mostly with my sons. Closest to the southern end of Skaneatles. Looking to do some nice rides on any of the lakes in the area. Also planning on some trips (circumnavigate Manhattan, transit the Erie Canal from Cayuga to Seneca, and a trip down the CT river)

2 Oldschool standups (5fiddy and 440 Kawi) and a couple of couches, a '92 Polaris converted to a 750, and a 2000 SLX.

Currently in Shanghai, though! Should be back in CNY in a month. More or less.

Well, the fingerlakes are beautiful! But that's a bit of a drive from LI. Like 5 hours to Skaneatles or Cayuga. I launch on some state land in Lansing on Cayuga Lake, on the north side of Meyers Point. It's free, mostly uncrowded, and you can leave your trailer/truck backed in to park on between rides. Ithaca is 8 mi to the south, and there's a bunch of restaurants and bars to ride to for lunch.

Taughannock Falls is 3 mi across the lake, and they have a dedicated PWC parking area on the south shore.

Skaneatles Lake is even nicer, but harder to launch out of. No place to leave your rig in the water. Scott has a town park with a drainage ditch (really, no kidding) to access the lake. Also, there's a public launch on the western shore about 3 mi south of the town of Skaneateles.

What I love about Skaneateles lake is there's a public wharf right in the middle of town. Just ride in, tie up, and walk into town! It's free, but there's a donations box. Very cool to ride in, have lunch, etc.

PM me in June if you wanna meet up for a ride! And does anybody know of someplace closer to the island to ride?
