if anyone has a couple pieces of wood you can throw in car on your way down, bring them. I have bbq wood - but was not able to make a wood run this year, so we are scrounging. I know a couple places to find some wood down there - but would be nice to have a back-up plan.

stupid question but,

large beach bon fires are ok??????

"bonfires" are not allowed.

"Campfires" are OK - so we will be having a campfire...get it?

I have a tree that can be cut down for firewood. I can not do it by myself nor do I have a trailer to haul the wood. I do have a chainsaw, but lack the help.

I know this is a kick in the groin.

the tree is in College Station?

Wetherby can get us as much firewood as needed - but he is located in Crosby (near Lake Houston). He's going to bring a truckload for Saturday. If anyone can help him load or carry some wood - I'll put you in touch with him.

We could burn Luke's newly acquired square nose.

I don't think fiberglass will burn.

Sure it will, with some gas on it.

But better yet there is a good sized tree they cut down at the park a couple of weeks ago, but I don't have a truck so if Mick, Jeremy, Kevin or anyone else with a truck wants to swing through seabrook we can pick it up. A chainsaw would help to cut it smaller, but I think it is managable w/o one.

Let me know if you do. Penguin had me bringing my...... er, uh, electric (yes, electric :purr: ) chainsaw, and it was going to be down right embarrassing showing up with an electric chainsaw when people are bring GAS powered blenders.

You can use my Farm Boss 20" Stihl

Sure it will, with some gas on it.

Guys, I can really use some help with the fire wood.

I had one deal fall through for Pecan wood, but my old shop has a bung-load of whatever for the fire. I'll rent a chain saw if needed, but just need help to cut and load 1 or 2 truck loads.

PM ME EARLY!!!!
I have Saturday off only! And I'm not real motivated to do this alone on my first day off in 4 weeks.

I can't stay to enjoy this, so this is for YOUR benefit!

Shawn, if you're the only one down there to get this, give them my cell number.

And YES, electric and cross-cuts are welcome.
