Well this summer i spend all my time up north.me and my cuzin were thinking of having a little freeride. something like 10-20 skis. we got the room for parking and we have a cottage 5 houses up from the water. theres no set date yet, its just a thought?

I'd be up for it if it were around the 4th of July. Im usually up for the week of/after the 4th with some friends. Other than that Higgins is too small and flat for my liking. It's nice and deep, but inland lakes don't do much for me.

I might be up there during memorial weekend, but there arent enough big boats up there for my taste. I would rather ride in lake saint clair

Ive thought about free rides on Lake St. Clair, but all the prime locations wouldnt be adequate or rational.
Ive always thought it would be sweet to do a Gull Island Free-ride, but you have to ride more than a couple miles from the nearest reamp to get to the island with all of your gear, and although it is prime for boat wakes and a short hop for freighter wakes, weekends are so busy there wouldn't be room to even beach our skis on the island.
Seaway Island would be a good spot on the Canadian side of the river, but the whole lunch access is a downer, the closest place to launch would be at Browns and cut through the bay, which is probably too far for most people to balance gas and other gear.
