I know the concord is the popular prop, but how does it stack up to against the slim line in the same 13/16 pitch? Anybody have any experience?

The slim line won't cut it for bigger HP engines, 13/16 would almost be too low for a stock 701.

i emailed impros and asked them what they recommended for a near stock 701(92 octane head and lightened flywheel). this is what they wrote back:

A Solas Concord is the best impeller for your ski.
An out of the box 13/17 will make a nice increase of bottom end and retain the speed of the stock impeller, and this design is very efficient- which keeps the pump loaded very well in rough conditions. We sell this (quality checked for $199.99)
For even better bottom end pull for your tricks, you could have us cut it back and repitch it to a 13/16. The set back loads the pump even better, and reloads quicker when the pump comes out of the water.

also i read somewhere where pitches do not mean the same across different brand impellers

I can't speak for Skat props except for the one I pulled off my ski recently...I've seen others prefer them over the Solas Concorde. I installed a Impros 13/17 w/ a 3 mm cutback on my Magoo powered WB1 last weekend. All I can say is the difference was CRAZY AMAZING (I was running a Skat 12-20 that came with the WB). In my opinion, one of the best mods someone could do. I'd like to point out though....you have to look at the entire setup of your ski (motor, and other mods) when chosing the proper prop. That's where someone with knowledge and experience IE: Magoo, Impros etc. would really come in handy as far as a recommendation.

its true the difference between a swirl and a regular impeller is night and day
