We rode the General Jackson today and the water was not bad at all. The riverboat only made good waves one way but we had a killer cruiser come through for some big azz waves. Beotchsadie tried to pull his first backy off of the cruiser wake. :biggrin: Not so sure it was intentional but he got nearly inverted before landing on his head.:scared: :smashfreakB:

Jimmy (Jawbreaker) and I went to see Toby yesterday. He is not looking good. Not like he aint gonna make it or nothin like that, but he is in seviere pain and is misserable from being layed up and helpless. I really wish there was something we could do.
His wife (Tiesha) is due in 2 weeks with thier second child, I hope he is up and able by then anyways.

Its definateley gonna be awesome pulling these off the General as I can tell the hieght can be awesome once we get the rotation down.

After further inspection once I got home last night the Wamiltons nose piece is spider cracked everywhere (its so frickin thin) :banghead:.

I cant wait to get the Rev together w/ my motor and see how it ROLLS. I will probably be sceeered of it after riding the 701 SJ all season LOL.

I am new to the area (actually up in Clarksville) but am looking for some good places to ride, and new people to meet. Are any of you still riding this year? Would love to make the short trip if it meant I could ride with some other people. I have not seen any other stand-ups around here.

We usually ride on the river in downtown Nashville on Sunday's at noon. Drop in at Shelby Park, run up the river, and chase the General Jackson (Paddle Boat) down to Riverfront in Nashville and back up to Opryland Hotel and mall area.

I won't be on the river this Sunday, but will be riding some saturday afternoon if all works out. It would be on Old Hickory lake though. PM me if your interested.

Yep, we're still riding. Another board member was actually at Ft Campbell last summer & rode with us. The drive is not too bad to where we ride on the Cumberland in Nashville.

We launch at the ramp in Shelby Park across from the ball fields. PM if you want directions. It is easy to get to if you are coming from Clarksville. We usually get there around 11:00 but this Sunday is a Titans home game, so traffic will be a bitch. If you want to ride I would suggest being in Nashville around 10:00 to avoid being stuck. The exit for the stadium is the same one you will use to get to the ramp. Come on down, it is a blast, bring a small cooler, full boat & 5 gallons of gas. We ferry everything across the river to the gravel beach.:headbang:

The cruisers were sweet with the 6+ waves and a killer first wave surf off the biggest boat. They hooked us up for miles:nana:, it was just jawbreaker & myself. The rest of the 615 did not represent, they were chasing that little ole riverboat going the other way :spank:

Another great weekend at the river!! 90+ on Oct. 8 :Banane09: Thanks to new 615 rider CMG aka Chad for coming down to ride with us. We had a great cruiser hook us up with great waves for about 3 miles up river. The river boat hooked us up back downstream to downtown Nashville. :biggthumpup:

We ride Knoxville downtown river/loudon lake On Vols home games because there is a sh*t load of big boats that come thru, heading towards the stadium. On non vol days we ride concord next to the concord marina where they keep 30-60+cruisers, Its like an artificial ocean, non stop big wakes. :-)

We just might be in for a ride on the 28th of this month. Thats the next home game against NC.

How is going in the 615? Just thought I would let you all know what you got down there. It has been in the 20's (degrees F) for most of the time here on vacation. Not to mention I walked out of the house this morning into a snow storm with over an inch of snow on the ground. I hope you all have had the weather to ride. Did anybody go to Knoxville? I got a rebuild kit coming for my fuel pump so should be ready to go this coming Sunday. Get back the day prior and will get the ski ready if the weather is still decent. Glad to hear you have had the snow & not us. We rode yesterday. Built a fire on the beach to huddle by....did you know that jetskiers can be dangerous when fire & two-stroke gas is around...haha. The weather should hold out for this Sunday. And we still have a stack of wood to burn. Oh yeah...be sure to ask Brian why he screamed like a girl by the fire. :firedevil:

Sorry I did not make it last week. Got back to TN late and my parts did not arrive for my fuel pump. Between lack of time and not even knowing if my ski would stay running I decided against going. So the million dollar question, is anyone going to ride this sunday (18 Nov)? I am game if anyone wants to brave the cold with me. I don't want to make the drive if no one is riding though, definately to risky to ride solo, afterall I think I have needed a tow everytime now.

Hello all:

Been awhile but I was out of the loop doing the job thing. Got a couple of days off then back to the grind. However, I spent the day looking at the ski and decided I should start looking at doing some fixes/upgrades. I thought I would ask you all what you thought and get your opinions as your collective experiance outweighs anything I know.

1) Parts needed:
-exhaust/manifold "three bolt" gasket for factory pipe
-new coupler for head pipe to chamber (the rubber one)
-new bushings for handle pole bolt (can no longer keep pole as tight as I like)
-nifty 615 hood strap kits (need to lose the bungees before they cause me bodily harm)

2) Additional work:
-Think I need to go to an aftermarket girdled head kit. Currently running the shaved/milled head but have no idea what the previous owner milled it to. Compression gauge crapped the bed to so don't know those numbers. Figure though with the advent ignition, B-pipe, full spectrum carbs the head is probably the weak point right now. With that said I would like to gain some power but stay with pump gas. Any thoughts? Should I port too?
-Need to look at altering my trim set up. Jimmy was explaining a good way of doing it but would love some help.
-Re-routing/plumbing the cooling lines, possibly going to dual cooling if needed with new head.

Sorry for the long one here. But thought I would reach out for some help. Any info/suggestions on set-up, part aquisition, and wrenching is appreciated. By the way this is in referance to my Yamaha (the white and red one). I would be more then willing to bring it down to Nashville if anyone wants to help to. Hope everyone has a Happy New Year,

We MAY have made the news!!!! I was talking to a guy who works as a cop, and some how we got on the topic of the river and I was telling him about talking to the CG yesterday. His wife pops up and says "were you one of the jetskiers behind the General Jackson".... I was thinking she was on the boat.
