I have a brand new o.e.m. polaris octane hull. Original polaris hull not aftermarket. It is not assembled, meaning top deck and bottom deck are unglued, also have a new hood. Hull has no inserts, holes, foam, not yet trimmed etc. Perfect for building into your own custom ski.
Since it is apart you can put any motor and pump combo in this. I was going to do a 66e motored octane but lost interest. Yamaha pump and shoe fit in without any mods. You can run just about any bracket and handlepole. Reinforce where you need to or run it as its. The two hull pieces weight total 75lbs. Hood weight about 12lb

Was wonderin' the same thing.
Does Polaris sell them as regular parts?

What about all of the internal parts such as engine mounting plate, firewall etc...

Maybe if you put an sxr bottom on it you'll have an EME hull!!

I have the firewall pattern, every thing else has to be fabricated. Factory polaris just uses aluminum plates epoxied to the hull for the motor mount bracket.
Yours and waterdawgs engine bedplates would work in this. the differences between the octane and the superjet hull is outside the outer strakes. So those parts will sit in there just not be as wide.

nope, there were some left over because of the sheldon and malone boats used a lighter layed up and modified hull

the cool thing about this is you can build it however you like,i.e. motor and pump can be moved back, it can be shortened like a backflip hull. you can run a kawi motor, polaris motor, yamaha motor etc.
i mocked up a 800 motor, lotsa of room in there

Are the EME's actually a true Octane Top Deck and SXR Bottom Hull?

No, they are based off that................ similar in design........ but fully aftermarket

tried it ,the polaris top deck is would need intense mods to fit on the sxr bottom. I'm going to put it together now with a 66e motor. I like the hull after riding one in the texas chop.

They are not laying around as extras because of malone and sheldon not using them, thats for sure. Polaris does NOT sell them.... but theres a way to get them ;)

this was an extra, i got them from the company that layed up the polaris octane for polaris, before the molds were sold.

yeah i know, he said he knew how to get them maybe there are still some lying around... Put a nice rotax engine in one of those babies would be cool

Rotax? That way you could keet oil injection too! That would be awesome! :twak:

Actually a 787 or 951 would be awesome in that boat, oil injection optional of course.

If you were to get an intake manifold that would get the carbs for the 951 up that would be a fun for a rec boat around the lake. I was just poking fun.

fun or not, what you said is completely TRUE
no ********ing way I would put a freaking SEADOO motor in that thing....anything but! yamaha, Kawi or polaris...but no rotax

The 787 is an awesome engine, step outside the mainstream blah blah box for a minute. The 947-951 was another story though, the later xp's had water injestion problems due to a leaky exhaust manifold and cheap fuel line deterioration leading to grenades, that does not mean the entire platform sucked.

Just a thing or two about the fuel lines,Seadoo used Tempo marine fuel hose. At the time they purchased it it was the best thing available, even 15 years down the road it is still very flexible, what it is not is Alcohol fuel compatible. The way I see it is this, there is no way Seadoo or any other mfg could foresee us silly Americans would be using 10-15% alcohol in our fuel, its almost inconceivable that anyone in their right mind would do such a thing.:dunno:

I had a couch with the 787 in it and it was a great engine i dont want a couch btu I still think bombardier can make some nice engines (rotax). they didnt give up making 2 stroke snomobile engines & then make 2 stroke outboard engines (evinrude) they are good in my booke:Banane13:
agree, that 800 is one of the best motors out there
sea doo or not

Just came across this old thread. The 800 ripped your arms off on a 400 lb XP. Just imagine it in a 300lb SJ or Octane!

This never sold so I built it, best move I've done. I've run it with 3 different 62 t motors and 3 different 66e based motors (950, 1000 and 1200cc's). Seebold still gas some more hulls.
