I have never been to the ocean and I going down there for my first time on March 9-13 to visit family. I was wondering if anyone rides in the area and is going to be riding that weekend? Just wanted to come see some good riders unlike myself!
I believe there's a launch at the bridge. Check to see if you can beach it, may be against the law on the gulf front. I rode over there from Ft. Walton one time.

I'm thinking about going to that area in June, so I'm curious where to launch/ride too. Yes, I know it's the gulf.

If anything knew anything about this that would be awesome cause I am going going Mar 31- Apr 10 and I am planning on using my truck and hauling both my skis down but If there is no good places I might as well drive my car.

Last September, I was up in the area of Grayton Beach (Rosemary Beach actually). I was in Walton County, and PWC's were prohibited on the beach and you weren't supposed to ride within 750 feet of the beach.
Finding a place to launch which wasn't way too far from the beach house was the next issue.
We put in at Lake Powell and used a little cut that went into the gulf. And when I say little, I mean there was a stretch about 20 feet long that was only 4 feet wide and 8 inches deep.
Here is a place to look up ramps in Florida:

Definitely check which county you're going to be in so you know what laws you may be breaking. I just decided to play dumb (I excel at it) and pretend I didn't know. I only had the couches in the water for two days and never heard a peep or saw any Johnny Law.

I have been to destin 2 times to ride. I talked with the fl water patrol while i was there and found out the rules. You are not allowed to beech in the gulf or ride within 300 ft of shore i think. However in the bay you can go where ever you want. I found a few different launch's around the bay but ended up parking just to the south east of the bridge in a parking lot right on the beech and carrying the skis down to the water about 50' and its free. from here head out toward the gulf and about half way out on the right is a sand bar that the boat waves will break on. You can also go out to the gulf and on the east side of the outlet in to the gulf you will find a break that is pretty good if there is wind or boats. This inlet has a lot big boat traffic so it is good on flat days too. under the bridge is a no wake zone so dont speed through there.
