Lee Stone has been denied a license to race or compete in England. He will be competing under the flag of Brazil instead.
Anyone know the inside scoop as to why hes not able to compete?

The story from pwctoday is this....
heres the story...
lee wanted to race beginer jr's.
he went out and waxed everyone in practice.
the event organizers said he couldnt race beginers, and wanted to move him up, as they shouldve.
lee's family threw a fit and rather than race in the class he belonged, so they just packed up and basically left for brazil while denouncing england.
very stupid situation. drama drama drama...BUT, thats just the version i heard, maybe their's more too it.

why is it everytime we hear about that kid, it's some kind of negative BS???
Big deal, he's a rich little mommas boy punk who can ride... not impressed w/ the way his parents act or him for that matter.. His dad posted under his name on PWCT before and started a bunch of crap... Just blow hards IMO
disclaimer: I don't know him or his family, just calling it from how I saw it.. I could be wrong

I'm with slut and ross. Yes he has talent, and it's nice his parents have the resources to fund him the best equipment there is, but he seems full of himself and his Dad does too.

Oh big deal having to move up and start in novice! LOLOLOL Big fricken deal! The kid can flatwater BF for christ sake. Beginner class is for knee babies!
Lee might be a cool kid personally, but maybe its his parents that are ^ nose up.
Uh oh...Slut #1 Fan is gonna git ya now! Thats here boyee ya know.
At least he didnt sandbag Amateur Freestyle for another year.
If I were him or his parents I would keep away from racing and stick to the freestyle. What if he gets T-boned and gets injured really bad, that would suck.

That poor kid, I feel really bad for him. I hope his parents buy him a new Lenzi ski to make the tears go away. Also a new Hydrospace to race in the Formula class if he ever makes to to California :arms:

Was it his first time racing?
If so, he does have the right to race beginner. Just cause your a great freestyler doesnt mean you can hang on a closed course.

I'd cut the kid some slack. Yes, hes a great freestyler, and he'll be world champ soon, but thats neither here nor there. Whos to say he just doesnt momar around on the course (didnt know that could be used as a verb did ya!.... JP RUDY) Let him race beginner. If he starts dominating, move him up.

I met his dad at Havasu this year before I even before I ever heard of the kid. I thought he was a real nice guy.

That the point Ronny, "supposedly" in practice he was waxing everyone, Yeah, it may be his first time on the course, but I would guess his riding skill (Turning bouys) was deamed to be much greater than that of a "Beginner" class racer...........
The officials made the call.......... IMHO, bigginer should only be for up to 2-4 races, then you should bump up to Novice...........

Obviously the kid can ride and if he was waxing everyone in practice then he probably should be bumped up just the keep the beginner class more competative.......thats only fair to the beginners. It might suck for Stone b/c he will have to work harder if he wants to win in the novice class. His parents are probably throwing up a big fuss b/c they want to see him grab as many titles as he can as fast as he can and putting him in the novice class decreases his chances of winning right out of the gate.

too me, beginner class is not really about competition, more a learning experience to step up to Novice, honestly, I never raced beginner, straight to Novice, Think beginner good for the younger kids, but if your 20 years old and have been riding, jump into Novice, you might be surprised.

hmm, I would have appreciated if my parents would have supported me in that age like little Lee gets it. I probably wouldn't have gotten into trouble that much if I had had a sport to live for. Dont know nothing about his father starting shiiat on pwc and dont care about it. He should just let little Lee ride what he wants and not what daddy would liked to do himself.

I'm not sure either, but it was kinda funny when he broke his Lenzi hull, then his Dad posted that it's supposed to break, lol.
I wish I were the kid, even if he's spoiled or whatever. I had to save up forever for my first ski and it was a chitty Seadoo :frown:
