This was the result of a flame arrestor coming off last May, and one of the bolts plus some washers went through the engine. And this is what kicked off my year of barely riding...

Just a reminder to make sure your squarenose f/a's are tight. My front one came off. Ouch.

I'm not even going to go into the detonation problems after taking off my MSD t/l and using stock electronics with 3 degrees advance.

It was a bad year, I think I only rode 15 times TOTAL, and the last ride of the year (after Jersey) i broke my steering cable after only 10-15 minutes of riding, so my year was over!

Gee, thanks Darin, you trying to cause an omen for all of us......... been there, did that back in 03............. 04 and 05 were pretty good years......... cept for the broken nose........... stripped driveline 5 minutes after I hit the water at the Lanier (Riot Ride) last may............. see, there you go...........................................

it hard to know where our year starts and finished here as well ride all year around
opps sorry guys didnt mean to make you jealous
but i have just blown out my calf muscle so it over for a while for me

same exact thing happened to me late last seeason.......I had a missing bolt that I coudnt find for WEEKS...

turns out it was sitting inside the intake on the reed petals....ran that way for probably 2 months or so....took the intake off for something unrelated and...:scared:


motor is still running strong though (knock on wood)

i had a throttle shaft crack and i lost a bolt down into my engine
stuffed a dome and a piston
annoyed the crap out of me
