We will probably meet at the boat ramps around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday so people don't have to wake up so damn early in the morning. See you there.

We will have some free places to stay, but not many. I will hook up with a hotel close by for a reasonable rate too. :biggthumpup:

Are you doing any other events like this during the summer? There are a handful of us here in the Sandusky and Toledo areas that may want to check something like that out when a race season is done. We can't do rolls but we love to jump waves. Lake Erie can get pretty mean sometimes.

Celina race is going to be set. They set that date around their Lake Festival. Very big crowd draw so they'll keep those dates. National tour stop too

I had planned to go last year but the dates changed and I had already made plans there for the weekend of the original dates. I love Cleveland but not enough to make the trip back to back like that. If these dates are concrete I might be able to help land a little local support :sneaky:

out here, impossible to take him riding....
looking for a place and an outing to take him, especially if the other half has to work.

72 degree water temp. Air should be around 80. The waves could be non-existent or ten feet depending on the winds.
(N winds=waves S winds=flat) No wet suits needed...unless we get a freak storm like last year.

He should be able to ride, but if the Coast Guard or ODNR show up (doubtful), he should go right to the beach. Basically, they will leave him alone if he knows what he is doing and stays away from other boats and skis.

The ODNR might be at the boat ramps... if they are you will have to find someone else ride it to the beach and then he can ride there. (It's only about 1500 feet away).

Geauga Lake is about 25 minutes away, east. (Pretty Cool Amusement Park)
Cedar Point is about 50 minutes away, west. (Best Roller Coaster Park in the World, SERIOUSLY!!) You'll crap your pants.

There is also the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame (Cool if you like Museums) 3 minutes away.
Great Lakes Science Center (Another cool Museum) next to the Rock Hall.
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo (2nd Best, IMO, only to San Diego) 10 minutes away.
The Lake Erie Islands (Put in Bay is fun) 1 1/2 hours away, west, including ferry ride.
Whips Ledges (Cool Rocks to climb) 30 minutes south in Hinckley
Cleveland Art Museum (about 20 minutes east)

Poker Run for the Schwag! Best hand gets the best goodie bag. The poker run will be very short. (about 25 minutes total). $5 to enter. All money goes to the Cleveland Women and Childrens' Home. (You can buy a second hand for $5, but will only get the prizes on the better of the two hands!)

Afterhours will be at the Garage Bar in Cleveland. I will have directions there. We will probably get a group together to go out and get some food if anybody is interested...:cheer::cheer:

I just called my friend who's family owns the Aladdin restaurants (one right there about 5-10 min from the park) If we want to place an order he will bring it to us at the park. Just an idea, good food for not too much $ and beats the heck out of McDonalds or Subway.
