Hi my name is Wesley and I'm an alcoholic. Oops wrong support group.

Let me try again.

Hi my name is Wesley and I'm an addict. It's a disease - a allergy of the body - an addiction of the mind. Sometimes I think I'll just go out for a little bit and . . . a week later I haven't bathed, eaten or seen my family . . . and all I've got to show for it is a re-inforced hull with scupper, new hydroturf and paint. I know, I'm sick.:1244:

And it doesn't even end here.
Wait till you start breaking things - Oh wait that's Yamasluts MO.
Me, I found life much easier buying one of Pat Bogarts old whore hulls (Also Chris Camps surf boat). Yes you'll balk at the price but crunch the numbers including your time and paint and it really doesn't look all that bad.
Move up from the Crown to Makers Mark ..... Your tolerance is already built up.

Looks like it's gonna be a badass ski tho !

For some reason I have a hard time keeping a girl around for more than one summer. I meet them in the fall, they complain that i work on skis too much, then I'm single again by late summer. I's a vicious circle. Oh well, keeps me from getting board.:puke:

At this point a crack habbit would be cheaper!

It started of as a recreational thing, you know just here and there, and a little more in the summer. Then I started ridding every weekend. No probelm, right. I told my self, I can stop, I don't need to ride this weekend. Then the next summer came around. I was up to 3-4 rides a week. Before I knew it I was saying crazy things like "I don't care lets ride flat water".

Then I met some people on this site. I thought they would help. :bsflag:
Now I'm wrenching every night. I take long trips just to get my ride on. I'm on this site constantly, and all I can think about is my next ride. I buy parts I don't need, build motors "for fun", and now believe that fiberglass is actually in my blood.

Talking about it right now sounds crazy, but as soon as I hit the face of that first wave, everything else dissappears, and all that time and all the wrenching, glassing, and grinding becomes worth it!

What a feeling!!!

I hear that!

I am putting a house together right now and I have a lot of trouble deciding over a couch or a back up motor, a bed or a trip to Florida.......... It is really hard to spend money on things that don't have a motor.

Just think yourselves lucky you can get easy access to parts and only have to pay $'s for stuff.

While we have to search long and hard for decent kit then have to pay £'s for it. Bloody extorsion too!!!

Even sicker when you start a project and do silly things like anodise somethin orange lol...

Then you think "that looks trick" ill get some more done,,, before you know it every billet ally part has been done!!!:scared:

Then you think "ill just get this bit in carbon" mmm that looks trick too, i'll get a carbon this and a carbon that.:scared:

Wait till you start modding the engine... Thats when it all goes wobbly:1244:

You guys have it good, at least you have something to work on. Ive been known to take things apart just to put them back together...

This weekend was the worst though. I let a close friend of mine go, we had a lot of good memories, a lot of fond memories, and a lot of..."firsts" together. When that man handed me a handful of cash, my eyes glistened as he pulled away with my baby in the back of his truck, strapped down tight.
I though I would pull through all right, but my garage feels so empty everytime I step foot in it, theres no tray for me to stand in, make VROOM VROOOM noises and take away the pain. The only thing that gives me hope, is I know, Ill have a superjet someday. Hopefully...if all goes well, next weekend.

and you think you have it bad, at least you have something to work on
