ATV's or any 4 wheelers... They will not be allowed to leave the trailer. Leave em' at home.

Anyone bringing dogs will be 100% respinsible for picking up their dogs sh*t...

there is a 25$ fee to ride. Your registration better be legal, or leave the ski at home.

No $$ changes hands on the beach for any vendors.

Please do not drive onto the beach unless you need to. Most never did last year. we just parked and toted down... It looks better when there are not 50 cars on the beach... less clutter and more room to hang.

Beach Patrol is GOD!!! Period, end of story. YOU WILL FOLLOW THERE DIRECTIONS OR YOU WILL LEAVE. Beach Patrol are county police and they will arrest you.

No banners on the beach. Only on Hotel property.

No alcohol on the beach PERIOD

No 50cc pocket bikes

No mx bikes

Beach patrol will also ask for your fire extinguisher and possibly a whistle .Beach Patrol gives out the beach passes
Helmets are mandatory

I think passes are $30 unless it's cheaper than last year .

I had to go get a duplicate reg because I lost mine :banghead:

They will come to you I am sure, they always have, but there is a Beach patrol tower right where we ride, so if they dont come to you just take your reg. to them. And remember (your bought is stock).

my experience is it depends on the location of the zone, time of day, how busy the beach patrol is, who the beach patrol person is and what mood they're in.

I've been handed a card to fill out myself and I've had the total inspection with him waiting to witness me putting the sticker on my ski before.

my plan is to try to get stickers and registered before my ski hits the beach. I'll walk up to beach patrol with registration in hand.

Which is what I did last year...

The Patrol is still cool, a brief inspection and your done. Now if they were doing snap safety inspections, that would be a different story.

Really it's not bad at all. Just don't go out of your way to be an ass and you won't have any trouble. You have to remember that the beach is right in front of hotels, condos, and homes. Exhaust doesn't necessarily have to be stock. Nothing wrong with a Factory pipe:sneaky: . I think the actual rule is that you must have a waterbox. It just saves questions to tell them it's stock or factory or yes, it has a waterbox.

On a related subject. Let's try to be decent people in the hotel as well. Even with all the alcohol and testosterone, we don't need to make ourselves unwelcome for next year. The January zone is absolutely directly in front of our hotel. Screw it up with them and we'll have a real tough time figuring out plan B for next year.

Yeah I know it can't be all that bad, but at Pismo you can drink alcohol, you never get registration checked (Enzo doesn't even ride with tags), doesn't cost to ride your ski (just $10 to get on the beach), bring as many cars as you want, bring your bikes, pocket bikes, and practically anything with wheels. No helmet required (but your dumb if you don't wear one), and there is camping straight on the beach.

Once again, proof that West coast>>>East coast.

Dude, this is just the way it is, and has to be. We do it this way or we don't do it at all. It's pretty lax.

How many places can you actually ride in Cali? Hawaii? I'll answer for Hawaii, on Oahu, it's 4, and NONE of them are surf zones. All legislated away. We don't want that to happen to Florida.

What's their policy on skis that can't be registered? (no title since it's homebuilt).

Michigan doesn't have titles for "homemade" boats? :dunno:

My Wammer ski came with a Florida title as a homemade boat.

Not sure of the process myself since all I had to do was re-register it in my name, but I'll soon find out when I get my WCF Hull.

if you have a true homebuilt ski in FL, you can get a title and registration for a home built boat.

What if you have a WCF-built hull, Charlie?!? :sneaky:

What's the process? I assume that I can take the hull and the bill of sale and/or receipt to the DMV and get it registered.

In Mass you have to apply for a title and a Marine officer comes out and inspects it before you can register it .Takes a while too

Everything is in a much tighter area, and is patroled by beach patrol. You will find that they are very reasonalbe and will be very accomodating. We just nedd to keep the partying up at the hotel. You will see that it's not a burden at all... the setup is freaking so sweet!!!!

I don't think Oxnard was raggin' or putting down the Florida venue per say - just pointing out the major variances between the two locales and how things are handled....Superjett made some excellent points though....

Basically, what it's all about is respect and flexability. One person/action/non-conformist can burn this terrific relationship/opportunity Nick has built for all of us - and we all know we'll lose big if that happens.

Sure we want to have a great time - and we WILL...but we're ALL responsible for policing ourselves and setting the very best example possible - because quite frankly gang, there are a LOT of people watching this event (even from the west coast) - the implications the outcome have are much greater than many of you could ever realize. We're only shooting ourselves in the foot if we don't set and achieve the best possible standard next weekend.

I haven't been to this ride yet, but am eagerly counting down the days. I could have easily cancelled when this surgery popped up, but I want to come and show my support for Nick and all he's done for our sport - as well as all of you riders who will be on the water. Just respect yourselves, fellow riders, the water, our hosts - and to toss a little guilt on top - if you cannot do it for those very valid reasons, then at least do it for Nick. He stepped up when no one else would, and I know from personal experience how much time, money and stress something like this takes...do it for Nick.

:crutches:....or else risk me serving you up cafeteria style - with creamed corn & lumpy mashed potatoes (ask Ratti how much fun this is - he made the mistake of pushing the wrong buttons at Finals - poor kid....LOL!)
