I was going to originally rent a car but now I am rethinking it No sence in having it sit at the hotel for 3 dys. I have heard that everything you need is in walking distance. Is this the case.

If you do not need a car to get there I would say skip it.
Come find me or someone with a car and we will take you anywhere. I will be hanging around my hotel room all night so I can drive pepes places if need be. I'll have a minivan and I don't drink so I'll be a cab driver.
Most things are walkable except maybe the breakfast joint or the grocery store.

I parked my truck and left it in the same spot the whole weekend. I only went to the Sports Bar and Waffle House so there was no need for driving.
Most people that went to Outback and Lollipops made a pass or two thru the Sports Bar anyway.

Two things: Wafle House - YUM! My son and I were just trying to explain the entire Waffle House concept/experince to one of his buddies over a completely mediocre breakfast today - and this just makes me want to show up even more (believe it or not...though I'm not sure my gut can take the grease)
And....
Matt...giving out your room number like that - man, are you asking for some trouble...LOL!

The farthest west they have W.H.'s is Phoenix, AZ...and even then, they're just not the same. Apparently, they don't believe in hiring felony parolees and women who go strickly by the name Earline, Wanda Sue or Bertha May - sporting bee-hive 'do's ;)
I live in northern California, so the best breakfast I can get is in my kitchen. But even then, I don't own that much grease, so it's never anything like the Waffle House experience.

Nice way to get things started....watch that bottle of Yaeger though....LeAnimal LOVES that stuff - but she's a bit rowdy sometimes once she's been into it. You're liable to get your ass whipped for looking at her the wrong way...LOL!
