Jeez this sucks. I have the opportunity to go to Vegas for the AVN Awards :bigeyes: (Adult Video Awards) on Jan 13th with a buddy that's a producer. I realize this would be a very, ummm lets say entertaining trip but I really wanna be in Daytona and I think the after affects of me going could be detrimental to my marriage. What should I do? :banghead:

I already have my room reserved, but im sure I could either cancel or get someone else in it.

both place's should be a blast man. after being in vegas, im eventually moving there. i loved it there ive been to daytona too, love the water but just wasnt as apealing to me. if vegas could cause problems with the wife the screw it man go hang with the buds in daytona. either way u choose your going to have a great time at both.

Daytona. AVN's aren't that big a deal. It's the parties afterward that will definitely get you into trouble. Porn stars are also much better looking on DVD than in real life- the camera hides a lot. You may come away disappointed.
In Daytona- what would be dissapointing? That you didn't get enough Jager in your Red Bull? That you only got air off a good wave 40 times in several hours? If that's all you got to be disappointed in, then I'd say you're way ahead.

Well as tuff as it was I told him yesterday that I was committed to Daytona with friends that were counting on me to drive. I'm 38, had more then my share of trim in my life. If I was to go to Vegas I wouldn't have even tried to hook up. I would never lower myself to a porn chick (won't use the word star) That doesn't mean I wouldn't be watching lots though. After reading most of your posts, it seems the peps in my age bracket vote Daytona. As for what is closer, I live just south or Orlando and ride Sebastian when ever I want. Hour and 15 mins away. If it's 40 degrees in Daytona I'm really gonna regret this.

JR- I wish I had a wife that enjoyed the ski seen. She doesn't mind hanging on the boat but getting her in salt water is not easy unless were in the Keys snorkeling or diving. I may get her to come over to Daytona if the weather is right. = sunny, over 70, and not windy.

Featherride-I'm not worried about my wife reading the post at all before this one for the simple fact that if I was to go to Vegas, She would know what for. I go there with friends at least every other year.

We may get lucky with the weather this year. It's been unseasonably warm in Florida this winter, and we're talking Daytona is almost a little over 2 weeks away! I am betting on warm weather in the mid to upper 70's, water temp in the upper 60's. Springsuit should be comfortable enough for us thin-skinned natives.
