Is the $100 raffle proceds going to the kids? I really don't need another hull so I figure I personally would rather have 25-50 tickets into the 2 trims systems and the rests of the stuff

No doubt...

I don't think anyone left without SOMETHING last year. T-shirts, Videos, stickers---all kinds of stuff flying about the room above the office.

I'm liking my odds and would like a few of the items for my new build.

If I spend $20 and get the trim setup from Virgin, do I calculate the value of the prize into my build or just the $20 that I spent?!? :dunno:

Is there going to be one name pulled for everything? or does each item get a name pulled? Sorry for asking something so stupid. This will be my first freeride. :woot:

Last year they sold tickets with numbers and called out the numbers for each prize or group of prizes.

I'm fairly certain they will follow the same venue.

last year took freaking forever and I ran out of booze...that will NOT happen again

Nick - I've got a suggestion to speed things up on the raffle but make everyone happy....we do it with ours (when we can actually SEE to complete the raffle...LOL!) and it works great!

Get a couple three sheets of 1/4" subfloor, a can or two of spray adhesive.....Pre-print the item's description out in large font so they're fairly easy to read - along with the donating sponsor's name (good PR), - print maybe two items per 8.5 x 11 page. The, when you're ready, draw and write in the winning numbers with a big magic marker for all of your smaller item's like hats, videos, etc.

Spray the board down with the adhesive, and slap the sheets on in a quasi-orderly fashion.....When the raffle starts, you can simply display these boards and as items are claimed, you mark off that item so folks know to not bother checking their numbers for that one. This way they don't have to be quiet for ALL of the raffle items and can come check their numbers at their leisure.

Then you hold the live raffle with say your top 20 items - this way the raffle goes fast, but there's still the element of excitement over who's number will be chosen.....and viola! It doesn't take so long that we run out of cocktails.

LAME excuse, your not even 8 hours away by car. If any riders from Europe are going they are spending at least 11 hours in the air. J/K I realize people have priorities.

my plan:

6 people working the table/room.

number caller
product sorter
number taker/product deliverer
number taker/product deliverer
number taker/product deliverer
number taker/product delivererThe product sorter will determine what is being raffled and who the sponsor is, while the number caller runs numbers off at a quick rate. (I am going to try 15 second intervals) The product deliverer will exchange the product for the ticket and determine weather it is correct or not. After that the product deliverer will take both tickets back and place them in a can for storage. While this is happening we have already called the next number keeping the flow going. We'll run one sponsors stuff at a time and everytime we switch we will announce the new sponsors products.

I have not determined the location yet.... I still need occupancy sheets from from the hotel. Once I get that I can make an educated descision about the whole thing... I see it as being too small, but it's hard to tell...

You are correct, I wasn't there last year. I just bought my first SJ in May and didn't think that at 38 years old I would get hooked so much into something. I have only been riding for about 7 months but I can guarantee you that you will see me at more of these event's as I went to Sebastian in Sept and really enjoyed it and that was nowhere on the ssame level as this event.

I wasn't meaning that to you personally or to try and stir up anything. I just want there to be a huge turnout. I'm sure you want to be there and maybe I'll have the chance to meet you another time. Have a Merry Christmas
