Campground # is 231-861-8885

Directions to campground are from US31 take exit #140 (Stony Lk Rd/M-20). Head west on Stony Lake Rd approx 7 miles to 3-way stop. Make a left and head south on Scenic Dr approx 2 miles. Campground is on right hand side of road.

Event lasts all weekend, but plan on arriving friday night or early saturday morning for convenient (less crowded) boat launching, as late morning/afternoon the ramp gets quite crowded.

thanx kingnothing (nice screen name, by the way). i just got it done like 3 weeks ago. my buddy is an avid jetskier and also owns a custom paint and body shop, if you want a bomb-ass titties paint job like mine, then find me at wave rave this year. that guy will be there with me, so i can introduce you guys if you want to get it done next winter.


Here are some additional pics of mine and my other buddy's skis. we both got them painted by the same guy and he helped us install and fiberglass our footholds and fill in our stock 750 nose pieces (we relocated our gas caps to under the hood), and we installed the blowsion mats and rail kits ourselves. damn, nobody would've thought a pair of 93 750s could look so good!

You can launch a couch there no problem. It's a steep and short ramp, then you have shallow spots through the inlet (sometimes a foot or less).

I am selling my 650sx but will bring my new SJ. Hope to see some nice skis and get pointers on what to do on my SJ. I have no idea what i have or what i need to upgrade, i am anxious to get an expert to look at my ski. New to the Yamaha scene, but very familiar with the Kawasaki's. No sites are "bad" these were taken early. The steps and very loose sand at the bottom are bad but we all hve to deal w/it. Is late in season were all in shape even if we eat dorritos!

Yes there is day parking. You could park at the launch, since you have to use that anyways. It's $5 to launch.

No i bought it from Brandon Sedrich, this kid in flint (who musta bought if from lance). I am not sure of all its history, but i have a folder of receipts that came with it. All the big parts and large non-labor receipts totaled 3,300 then you figure the stock ski is worth something. The ski has spent some time in florida but not recently, there is no corrosion visible. All i know is that i got a killer deal. :highhorse:

I am anxious to get out there and ride. Living in kzoo, i am not more than 35 minutes from the lake, but i have never ridden big waves. The closest thing to waves I get is when my friend drives his 92 malibu around in circles for us. :ugh2:

What time is everyone heading up there? Can you check in/ set up tent early? I read that check-in is 3pm and check out is 1pm. That doesn't mean we can't get there and drop-in early if the waves are hittin. WHat is the deal with buying a permit for the lake? So we have to pay to get access to LM?

As for me, Ill be dropping my can off at the campground, and walking it down the steps (still no fun). And having Deedes or someone else ride along and drive my truck back from the launch to the campground whilst i ride my ski there:) Abe, ill drive your truck for ya:shhh:

no when you get up there just come to the campground from there just have someone go with you to the dock..launch your ski, and have them drive your vehicle back to the campground..from there you just bring your fuel down to the beach....ski's stay on the beach all weekend. theres never been a problem with theft or anything..clay banks is pretty remote
