Time to at least get a date in the calendar for a Spring Smith Lake ride (hopefully on a slightly warmer weekend that last year! Brrr....). I'm thinking late April? Not too close to Lanier, and far enough from Texas that BK has time to repair Ronald :cool2:

What do you say?

Is the lake that we're going to tomorrow???? Near you and Harrison?

Sounds Great to me - just make it around Mikey's schedule

Not sure where you're going tomorrow, but Smith Lake is about 45 minutes up I65 from Birmingham. There's a pretty decent campsite, and a nice beach area for the skis. It's a good central place for the AL and southern TN types and definitely not too far from ATL.

No Kathy, the lake we are going to tomorrow is a private lake.......... what sucks is you cannot do any freestyle in it............... Nor could you drowned in it either, unless you too dumb to stand up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then what's the point? You should have the owners pay to dredge out a freestyle area for you. :Banane01:

BK I'm not going to win any spelling B myself. The point I was trying to get across is if someone had tried to do a search on Mcfarlen they would come up with zero. Correct information makes it so much easier to find things.

Srew all that, you guys come on up to Nashville on Saturday. The mid TN crew is going to the Cumberland River downtown Nashville to get some riverboat action. The waves are always dependable and we should see some cruisers for even better waves. It is supposed to be 86 on Saturday. The General Jackson departs at 1:00 be there at the Shelby park ramp by noon and ride:Banane01: :Banane01: Anyone up for it, only 3 hrs from Bham or Florence?? Good practice for Lanier..

It is easier to obtain forgivness than permission, just come on up and enjoy the day. We did not get to ride enough at Orange Beach, so I am ready for a good day at the water. I think I have my ignition probs solved thanks to those MSD boots. The wires have no more slack but it tests good. Did you ever get your SJ running right? Give me a call if you guys decide to come up!

Post some directions. I'm planning on my first flatwater ride of the season tomorrow, and I may just make it up there. I feel the need for air :-)

The destination is on Davidson St. in Nashville, it runs into Shelby park as it follows the river. The map stops right before the park entrance so just keep going for about another mile. The ramp is on the right across from the ballfields. Keep to your right as you enter the park staying along the river. Hopefully this link to a map will work.

I will PM you my cell. Call me and I can get you there. The boat departs at 1:00 we will be there around 12:00 or so. Come on up and enjoy.
