Bought this '99 SPX about a year ago, nice isn't it? Also came with a 2001 GP800 which looked worse, parts were stripped and it went right to the dump. Bought both skis for $150! Apparently the skis caught fire and both tanks blew. The owner seemed very shady.....66e motor was acutally fine after a cleaning :)

That is me with the impact ready to go to work :)

Why would you buy 'em? Is there anything that is still salvagable?

ya there were alot of good parts. all went on ebay last winter...

66e motor - sold for $700ish
worx grate - sold for 65
spx pump - sold for 150ish
gp pump - sold for 200ish
motor mounts - sold for 40ish

so it was def. a good deal, besides all the fiberglass itch!

Some shady guy gave me two seadoo's in that condition once. I was afraid the heat had warped the motors so I sold them cheap. And unless you rebuilt that motor before you sold it I would say the crank seals were melted and you probably have a poor ebay rating.:bad3:

I am just surprised that the motors did not melt at all...

The skis were bought in Sherrils Ford, NC

Also, to address the condition of the motor, it was mechanically in great shape; it was completely torn down. The description on ebay told the truth also, saying that they motor came from ski which had been on fire (as one can easily tell from the finish on the exterior of the motor.)

No reason to be so quick with assumptions, I am an eBay PowerSeller with close to 800 feedback, with 2 un-justified negatives. Hardly what I would consider a poor rating. - Kurt
