Hey somewhat new to the area and looking for a good place to ride and maybe a groop to get together with someone help me out

Alot of people meet at jetski cove at lake lanier. Paul Lehr's shop (goes by 'Jr.' on the forum) is up that way.....Acouple of us were thinking about heading up that way tomorrow sometime. Go under events, thats where you can usual find when everybody is going.

Yeah like WD said I'll be in Florida until this Sunday then I'm heading back to Auburn for my last semester.

We usually ride at Lake Martin or Westpoint Lake(Near Lagrange, GA).

I'm actually leaving my ski down in Florida with another board member so he can bring it to Daytona for me in 2 weeks.

I probably won't bring the ski back up to school until about March when it starts getting warm. I live in an apartment so it costs me money to rent a storage place to keep it in.

Let me know if any of you guys are going to Daytona cuz we can caravan down there or somethin. :biggthumpup:

Man ya'll should really should find a better spot. Redtop has the worst ramp on the Lake, No parking, No place to beach the skis unless the lake is down, right across from the cops headquarters and it seams to be an Idiot magnet. our crew normally does tanyard creek when its open. Plus if you want to jump waves it dumps out in the middle of three of the biggest Marinas on the Lake right where the southern fried ride is at.:biggthumpup: I might see ya'll there my wife wants to try out her new kayak and if my prop comes in tomorrow I will be breaking in a new motor. If not then I guess I'll have to just have sloppy seconds on Natures ski.

If you are looking to jump waves go to Lanier that is where the cruisers are at. Lanier is roughly an hour from Marietta though. So if you are just wanting to just get out on the water and screw around go to Allatoona. It is 15 min. from Marietta.

Lanier has more boats, but that doesnt mean Allatoona isnt fun. I have been at allatoona all my life, and have been happy with it thus far. Lanier is a long haul though.

One of the guys can probably show you where a hidden waterfall is that only jet skis can get to...a peaceful place really. The lady that lives back there (or at least use to) rescues a certain breed of dogs and are all out there frequently. Go to Marietta Diner also! :biggthumpup:

Yea the waterfall is great. Been back there many times. Not too many people even know its back there. Right now i belive the water is too far down to access it. The water needs to be pretty high to get to it safely. Plus I have dodged copperheads wayyy too many times at the waterfall for my own liking. I have a thing with posionous snakes, they arnt my favorite animal. ;)

The diner is pretty good, nice patio with live music :cool2:

if you have been to the falls when the water is deep, then you can go past it and under the huge bridge at 575 and then some...I did it on a runabout a few years ago..It gets real narrow and curvey, it is a nice ride

My day actually kinda sucked. I had a weird series of events. First I was fixing to hit a cruiser wake and picked up a stick in the impeller. Then since there wasnt any shore I had to flip the jetski over to clear the pump which led to water injestion. And if that wasn't enough my starter selonoid went out while I was trying to clear it:banghead: I had to snatch the electrical box out and jumper the selonoid it to get it cleared and started.Big thanks to Danny Kay and Family for the help:biggthumpup:

Just about, I dont like the shortened hulls with the rear just cut straight up...took 3 inches off, I dont have money for any part modifications so I just do what I can with fiberglass, Also i cut the big lip off the nose. I broke my pole and hood 2 weekends ago, So I wont be doing anything crazy this weekend just a test ride.

I rode at Allatoona yesterday and we finally did some water testing on Jacob06's six mil lamey Xft buildoff boat. All I can say is :brap:. Whats everybody else doing? I know I talked to Nature today and he is planning on riding somewhere so is Jacob06 we just arn't sure where.

Water's decent. I had my shorty suit on and I was fairly comfy - I was actually kinda surprised how the water's warming up considering I was in my full suit last week and the weather hasn't been all that warm.

Don't get me wrong - it's still kinda cold, but ya won't die :ouch: I can likely make it out for a few on Wed. afternoon if my wife'll let me use the Jeep.
