I seriously recommend against Lake Ida. If the couchers don't kill you the bacteria will.
There is no decent (flowing) fresh water that I have found in southern Palm Beach. We go out of the Boca Inlet when we're riding up here. For fresh, we travel 40 minutes to Markham Park in Broward.

Boca inlet is really nice, just went out there on sunday. 20 minutes of no wake zone is brutal, unless you have the parking permit to park on palmetto ramp

theres a group of us that ride most every sat, out of lake worth inlet. we usually put in at jim barry lighthouse park, just west of peanut island. reef road is a really fun break, and its not alot of swimmers/surfers at the north end.
