So the story starts when i got my 550 last summer. I got it, rode it, learned some tricks, and then i stopped riding it. Then in august of this year I bought a squarenose that was really messed up and planned on fixing it. Decieded not to so i parted it out and then as soon as it was all gone i wanted it back:banghead: . So since then i set out to find another superjet, and i finally found it :arms:. I just back from picking it up from 2nd nature in atl.(thanks again man & and your new ski is AWESOME).
So as soon as i got it home i got right to work. First i had to find a stand. I didnt have any pvc pipe fittings laying around so i couldnt build a stand like that. I was working on my knees so i couldnt put it on the ground so i grabbed the table that was in the garage. Works perefctly:biggthumpup:.

So tonight i set a goal to get most of the turf off. Well i failed because i cant seem to stay on track and get one project done before i start another.:banghead:
I forgot how much taking off turf sucks, so i decieded to try a new apporach instead of the razr and the screwdriver. I always manages to cut myself with the razr and stab myself with the screwdriver.:banghead:. SO searching around the garage i found some weird sanding drill attachment and a couple wire wheels.:arms: It works pretty well and it collects little piles of shreaded rubber every were.:headbang:

Tonight i went right back to work on the turf. I finally got all of it off:arms:. I then went to work on taking off the fuel selector switch and the primer. They put up quite the fight so i started hitting it with a wrench cause i got a little mad and broke part of the primer piece off:banghead: . I also stripped the fuel selector switch bolt casue im a reatard:banghead:. So i decieded to go to something else so i went to remove the pisser outlet and bigle outlet. The pisser is yet to come off. I think the bolt may be glued on there.:bs2:

Ok so in the last 2 weeks. I did NOTHING!!!:bs2:
So tonight i started grinding the stupid ribs down and workin on the adhesive and little ribber chunks of turf that were left.
Im also in the process of getting a complete 701 SJ w/ B-pipe:cool2: to use as a doner ski once this hull is finished. http://x-h2o.com/showthread.php?t=10584 I think my parents are gonna buy it for me as a x-mas gift and im not suposed to know:biggrin:.

Ok Yesterday and today i think were the first time i've put full days of work in on these things. I grinded down ribs and scraped paint off the inside of the hull. I finished the internal fuel filler mod:arms: and decieded to give footholds a try. I wanted to try making my own, not becuase i cant afford them or i dont want to buy them i just wanted to do something unique on this ski. Well I finished one side today and they turned out alot like waterdawg holds. I will do the other side tomorrow and order glass supplies somet time very soon. They turned out so much better than i thought they would.:arms::biggrin:

If you do your holds like that you may have trouble getting them to be symetrical. The WD holds also would have come out into the tray and given you more of a contact area for the top of you foot. Might spend more time and $$ making them yourself. Have fun

Mines going slow I don't have a garage so I have to wait for nice days, all I'm gonna do is glass in a lump where the red is in the pic, and then smooth out as much as possible, sand fill, sand fill, their gonna be different but hopefully look good when turf is on and painted.
